Hello everyone,

QuiClay update. Monday dad has his Trach removed and is doing very well with little to no oxygen support! Yesterday he was able to walk up to 120 ft 2 times. He is truly putting in the work to get better and wants to get better! His voice is slowly coming back but struggles since it uses lots of energy to speak. He will be getting his voice back soon!

Till next time...

Hello everyone, dad is doing great. He is being challenged everyday by staff. Today dad was able stand at his sink and wash his face. His progression is nothing short of a miracle. Tomorrow he is being transported back to the VA for a few follow up appointments to review his progression and more test.

In addition, today dad was able to operate solely on oxygen in his room. He was able to function without the support of oxygen for the most part today. His character is coming out and shining more and more. With dads progression he has a good chance of getting the tracheostomy removed. I visited him around 5pm and observed him sitting in his chair. He was able to sit comfortably in his chair since 10am. He is doing really good.

I think Now would be a good time for everyone to send their cards. Dad is coming to the realization that he was in a coma for 2.5 months. Let’s show him some love and remind him of his tremendous feat! Here is the address for his rehabilitation site:
