Yet another productive day. Dad is doing well and in the right place as well as moving the right direction. With dads modes changed on his ventilator he is breathing more on his own. Dad is at a level of 45% oxygen and is doing well. There is still much room for improvement but for the most part is breathing on his own. He has very little support from the ventilator and at this point just need oxygen. Dad is officially off all drip (through the IV) sedatives and only has a few through his feeding tube. Virtually the same as taking oral medication. All of his levels are stable and looking good. Dad continues to go through these breathing trials where the staff gives dad a window to breath on his own without the ventilator Support. Dad is making slow progress in the best ways you can think of right now. Doctors are strongly encouraged by his progress but can’t emphasize enough that he still has some severely damages lungs. Dads continuous progress will only tell how much support he will need after rehabilitation. Dad will definitely need oxygen regularly. It is way too Soon to tell if it is needed for a long or short term. His healing progress will only tell.

Jamie and I have already discussed a neutral location for dad to stay when he is released For the best recovery. We will work out the logistics and spread the word when time permits. This is still some time out from now I just wanted to inform everyone that a plan is set. The details will be worked out over time and we will advise when feasible.

Dads progress over the last 48hrs are nothing short of a phenomenal defeat thus far. Please stay positive and patient as the doctors calls are lessening. Wit’s dads progression we will be entering a new territory of rehabilitation And different interactions will occur. As soon as I work out the details for this bridge I will bring everyone across when capable.

Dad Has opened his eyes regularly today and was having some purposeful movements. He had a degree of pain compliance and response. He was Able to observe and notice doctors hands infront of him And blink reactively.

Staff has some professional musicians that wish to put on a virtual concert for dad. The expectation is that they can broadcast to dad live. A link may be set up for a time and date of the small concert for dad. If I am able to get this link we can all join in and listen to the concert with dad. I will advise furthermore once I can find out.

Enjoy your day, love and cherish more.

Till next time...

Thank you Dad, thank you Brother, thank you family, uncles, aunties, cousins. Thank you friends. Especially the ones who made this possible—my grandparents. Normally my Pops and I chat, we chat about what we have been through, we chat about what we are thankful for. And we feast. So today when you eat, when you drink, and when you take that deep breath, remember all of our loved ones. Enjoy your day, just every once and a while. Smile to the sky and chat with them for a sec. They hear you. They can feel you. Send good vibes and some laughs. Dance a little or cut some rug. I love you. It never gets old. Dad your voice, your calmness, your craziness. Your warmth, your love and yo ur presence, are missed by a lot of people. If you could hear us pray, if you could be with us all right now. We would play your favorite songs and crack the best jokes. We would enjoy the little things in life. The things that we build grand memories off of. Weird sometimes to just sit back and watch the world turn. I digress.

Thank you everyone, thank you support, thank you people I don’t know, thank you my amazing wife. I hope you all have a good day, get some sun and be with family. Rest a bit. Till next time.

(Jamie)

Today was a productive day for dad. All levels are stable and running smooth right now. There is no more high blood pressure, high heart rate , etc... He has Not had a temperature for over 24 hours now. Dads is doing well and everything he needs to at this point.

Doctors have stated They are cautiously optimistic. Dad is still very ill in general and has a lot to recover from. So far dad Is running the correct course to rehabilitation. Doctors will run more test to check on his brain if needed. Right now dad is still with in the window to wake accordingly with The sedation medication nearly gone.

Doctors informed me that dad has been opening and closing his eyes throughout the day today.

Till next time...
