Doc related he is very encouraged with dads progress. Due to the amount of support and resources dad has been exposed to there will always be set backs. There are always some type of risk in the procedures given. This morning dad bit down on one of the balloons on a tube that is attached to the ventilator and broke it. They had to increase his sedation and replace it so the ventilator can continue working properly. That alone is the only MINOR set back since yesterday. That being said dad has shown good progressive steps forward by not needing to be moved to a prone position. His lungs and levels are working good and time will heal. The medicine given for dads urine is working and the kidney docs have decided to keep him on dialysis a little longer since the combo is working.

They are going to start making continuous efforts daily to try and wake him. Yesterday the efforts were unsuccessful for dad to follow commands. Although, the docs were able to determine that he does not have any neurological damage. Due to the amount of support and time dad has been under, waking him can cause him to be delirious and Confused. Which Is probably why he bit the tube this morning. With the volume of support they have to slowly wean him off each support variant so he can properly awake.

Doc seemed very pleased with dads progress the past couple days and was very comfortable saying today was a good day. They thanked everyone for the message/recording created for dad and are actively playing it for him.

Till next time...
